<p>How much does this reflect the dreams of high schoolers? How much does it reflect Y0UR kids?</p>
<p>Some of them are on track to law school. ;)</p>
<p>Not my kids! One just graduated in engineering and the other is majoring in International Relations.</p>
<p>LOL. Neither of mine have any interest in med school, or law school, or business school or even architecture school!</p>
<p>Not mine. 
He’s even less likely to go to b-school.</p>
<p>He may be on track to law school…but it remains to be seen.</p>
<p>I can see him in the State Dept. (His roomie says the CIA! )</p>
<p>My D, maybe. My S, definitely not. He’s majoring in music…for now.</p>
<p>Not mine. He’s a geophysics major and is planning on being a scientist.</p>
<p>Haha finally someone addresses this! I have constantly seen threads of countless students wanting to be on the pre-med track. GOSH.</p>
<p>Mine wants to go to Med School. For now her ambition is to panhandle for the poor. (I tell her to leave the Coach bag at home.)</p>
<p>Not mine! they watched their dad get chewed to pieces by medicine (not to mention hardly get to be a dad a lot of the time.) Neither of mine would touch it with a ten foot pole. Neither is drawn to any “profession.” they’re making it up as they go along.</p>
<p>garland, H and are both doctors, and neither of my kids seem interested either. I don’t know any of their friends who are interested either.</p>
<p>Well, to be honest, one of S’s best friends starts med school in the fall. S is kinda treating it like when you don’t lilke your friends’ sig other…you like the friend still, but try to ignore his/her unfathomable choices.</p>
<p>My youngest would be the last hope. ;)</p>

D4 - entering MSW this fall
D5 - just finishing her freshman year in college. Still exploring. </p>
<p>We do know kids who are in med school, and another friend of one D is starting this fall after working for three years following graduation. I admire them, it’s a long haul and a large commitment.</p>

<p>Both of mine are too squeamish for med school.</p>
<p>Neither of mine would consider anything medically related but both plan careers that could be physically dangerous to themselves (military and law enforcement)…go figure,lol.</p>

<p>So many dream of med school, and so many of the dreams are ended by Organic Chemistry. The number of those who are pre-med when they start college end up changing their minds.</p>
<p>Organic chemistry. Sigh. That had to be my first C …or D…ever.</p>
<p>My D, guilty. Has always wanted to be a physician since early grade school. Freshman year of college almost over, and unwavering. Orgo next year! :)</p>
