Is it normal for me to apply to say a few colleges first because they are early action/decision (or I like them a lot), but then apply to a few more a little later (because they are regular)? Will the teachers who write my recs think it is weird that I don’t apply to all my colleges at the same time? Please help!
That is perfectly normal.
However, please remember you can only apply to ONE early decision school, as well as non-restrictive early action schools.
Yes.
No. Also note, for the Common App, your teacher writes one rec in total, not one for each school.
Perfectly normal and no your teachers won’t think it’s weird. But if you know now who your ED/EA and RD schools are you can let your teachers know now so they can submit their letters to all of them at once. But it should not be a problem if a little later you decide to add another school. Just let your teachers know and they will submit their letter to that school as well. As skieruope mentioned, it’s the same letter to all the schools.
