If I am applying to 10 schools, and I would like the first three schools to get version “A” of my common app essay, and the next five schools to get version “B” of the essay, and the last two school to get version “C” of that essay, is there any reason I cannot stage the common application as three different “submittals”?
The reason is some schools have supplemental essays and questionairres that overlaps with some partial content of my common app essay. Hence in order to be more concise and to remove some duplicate content, I decided to have different versions of the essay.
The way I understand it, when you submit your application and select the schools to submit to, you pay the fees and all the information is aggregated at that time and sent to the schools. So if I do three separate submits, each time including a different version of the essay for the set of schools they are intended for, it should work, right?
