is it ok to retake sat IIs?

like if i got a 650, i feel like i shud retake it
but do colleges care if u retake it again (meaning 2 times in total)?

Um, retake them only if you are way below the standards of the colleges that you are looking at.

I guess colleges will not think bad of you. I've heard they merely consider your best results (even in case of SAT Reasoning they look at the highest score at every of three parts). And also i know many guys who took SAT Reasoning and Subjects several times (first time they had the same score you did - 600 and s-ng) and were accepted to very fine schools (Harvard, Yale, Colgate, MIT, Grinnell, Duke, and others). So good luck with your repassing if you are going to do that!!! )))

you sure as hell can!

don't retake 750+ though, seriously it's borderline pointless.

what about 750 exactly? as opposed to x>750

I retook Math II...

only because I felt like I could've done much better.

750 is a great score, i wouldn't retake it.

a 750+ shows that you are considerably intelligent in the subject at hand.

i got a 710 on math 2 and i couldn't retake it because of exams..will it kill my chances for top schools like harvard or cornell?

raindrops., I don't really think so.

I believe scoring even a bit above 700 is pretty enough. If you are still not sure and have no opportunity for retaking at the same time, you can achieve your goal through other parts of your application (positive recs, essays & statements - impact to make them as perfect as possible).

Best of luck!!! 8)

guys idk i just got a 720 on the chem and math sat II's and i was pretty bummed
if i retake them, will colleges see original scores?

@raindrops. Around 10% of people get a 800 on Math II, so it's up to you to decide whether or not to retake it. A lot say you should, you might want to check the threads to see what scores people were getting on Math II for those schools.

@music4lyf Colleges will see unless you use score choice, but normally they will take your highest score.
