Is it OK to take less credits than what you reported to scholarships?

So when I printed out my verification of enrollment for scholarships, it said I was taking 18 credits (which was made of 4 required courses and a 2 unit elective). The 2 unit course is a production course where you run the TV shows on campus as part of the production crew. Being a host on a show is independent from the course according to the instructor. I wanted to try and be a person on camera as well as production, but the lack of an on camera experience makes me want to drop the class before it begins and then audition for on camera during the auditions instead. As my schedule stands, I really would only want to do either production or on camera. I feel like dropping the production course would be wrong because I’ll be taking less units than I reported, but I want to try and be on camera and I wouldn’t have the time without dropping the course. I’ll still have 16 units, so would dropping it be ok even though I said I’d be taking 18 on the enrollment letter to the scholarships?

You’ll need to contact the organization that runs the scholarship. We would just be guessing.

Can you take the production course now and try out for on camera parts later? Or find out how much work hosting entails? The more skills you have, the more paths you have in to a production house. I’d try to find out how the work is divided. Most campus productions I was involved in required more work from the production crews than the hosts. We wrote the scripts, handed them to the talent, and pointed to the camera. All they did was read.
