Is it okay if midterm reports just display grades as "S" or "U"?

<p>For “satisfactory” and “unsatisfactory”? This is the only information I have on my current grades, so I wouldn’t be able to determine whether I have As/Bs without my professors calculating the total weight and grade of each of my assignments.</p>
