I played Habbo Hotel when I was a kid (I’ll make sure to mention I don’t play anymore). Basically it was an interactive world in which you could trade your way up by negotiating deals with other users for their furniture. In short, I start out asking for donations. I used different approaches to haggle with users depending on their personality types. I crunched numbers and played the fluctuating market. After a while, I made enough profit to have a huge shop of my own with many valuable items. This relates to my probably major in business or economics. But then again Habbo is a computer game. Do you think college admissions officers would be okay reading about this?

Any thoughts?

I think it makes sense. Most successful essays seem to start with an interesting experience, then go into how that experience impacted the individual and led to personal growth. Your gaming experience appears to relate to your college and career interests and could make an interesting essay. If you’d said “Halo” or “Grand Theft Auto” I would have said no.

I think it is good.

Go for it. Your essay topic has lots of potential.

Some of the best essays are on topics that seem like they could never work. If you know how to make it mature enough, and it sounds like you do, then go for it!
Good luck :)

Definitely do it if it ties in with your career choice and the essay topic!
