Is it possible to get a joint economics and international studies degree at Yale?

I was wondering if this combo is possible. Also, what should I write for the additional essay? I was writing about my childhood experiences and future aspirations and how Yale relates to them.

Is that an acceptable topic? (Basically my additional essay is a glorified why I want to go to Yale essay. lol)

Yes, you can double major in economics and international studies. However, you should know that admission to the international studies major is selective and doesn’t take place until the fall of your sophomore year, so you might not be admitted. See [B.A</a>. in International Studies](<a href=“The MacMillan Center |”>The MacMillan Center |) for more about the international studies major and its application process.
