i need one of these miracle loans. can i get a private loan like this? do they exist?

i of course, looked it up on google and found a few sites, but they ask me to apply… since i am jobless, poor, and have parents who both have terrible credit i assume i will get automatically rejected. does anyone have this loan.

i just got rejected from one loan too because i am not 18. will turn in november…

you can try, but they’ll probably turn you down because the loan would be so risky. the only person who would be able to tell you is someone from the student loan company. private loans have to be paid EVERY MONTH, they’re not like government loans which are deferred until you graduate.

I think you were mentioning that you needed to take out a lot of loans (I think it was 20K plus per year) to go to NYU. Even if there was such a loan, I doubt they would ever loan you that much money.

Can you borrow from relatives or family friends? Even if you could get a miracle loan from a bank or credit union it would be small, the interest would be too high and you would have to start payments too soon. Try working and saving your money, but that means delaying college. Good Luck.

pretty much. sorry to be blunt, but this is a really shortsighted idea. you’re not going to enjoy NYU because you’ll be crushed by all of the debt. you’ll be making payments on interest alone. you can kiss any sort of professional school (law/business/med/film/dentistry/grad) goodbye because you won’t be able to take out loans for THAT.

you’re sacrificing a large chunk of your life for what, four years? really?

Be cautious when applying for loans or credit cards. You are releasing information (social security number, personal information) in your application that sketchy people may use to steal your identity and really mess up your credit and financial status for a long long time. If it is too good to be true then it is NOT TRUE.

good to hear bond girl. what are your options? I am sure there are more like us around.

I just… never in a million years… did i think i would be one of those kids who probably cannot attend their dream school due to finances! i mean i got in- - the hard part. and now this…

maybe i was thinking, i could go to nyu for a year and transfer to another school with better FA, and i just need a loan for 1 year. i am not financially stable to hold loans 4 years.

It’s safer to apply directly with the help of the financial aid office. Also, you probably do not need loans. I rely on external scholarships myself (and I am not even a super student).
