If i went to yale , would it be possible to say…graduate in 2 years? 3 years? I want to hurry up with college so i can then start graduate school and start life.(I’m in IB if that counts for anything[credit-wise])

Yale is to be savored, not rushed through.

There was the princeton guy who got his degree and phd in econ in 5 years… And the mit singaporean who got his phd in econ AND degree in electrical engineering in 4 years… So yale? I dunno… Maybe you can start of some graduate work during your degree and continue straight away?

I know people who graduated in three years. I seriously doubt you could do it in two. Being at Yale is like being in heaven. Why would you miss a minute?

He was the valedictorian of his class…

yeap he was the vale

“I want to hurry up to start life” take time to enjoy your journey not just the destination. Feel lucky enough to even consider a place like Y.

My only complaint about Y is that you’re allowed a maximum of 8 semesters –

it’s possible, although very rare, to graduate from yale in 3 years. It requires a fair number of acceleration credits. You can consult yale’s web site to find out what kind of acceleration credit you’re eligible for (or a quick google of “yale acceleration credit” would probably do the trick as well).

My father graduated from Yale in 3 years with a degree in political science and economics. Just like you, Source, he wanted to hurry up and start working already (he also skipped a yr in elementary school and in high school so he graduated from Yale at 19). However, he says that he sometimes regrets doing that because he loved his time at yale and missed out on that extra year. If you’re going to graduate in 3, make sure its something you really want to do because you can never get that year back.
