I have the option to change my major from politics to economics if I pass algebra 1 test in exactly 2 weeks and 3 days.
I’m not sure if its even possible to learn algebra 1 in two weeks and if attempting it is a waste of time.
I need a 95% on the exam to transfer and they won’t consider a lower test pass.
Am I delusional in thinking this is possible?
I don’t know about possibility on getting a 95%, but I definitely think it’s worth the try. Algebra I is more on the fundamentals of math, and it’s basically built on the foundations of logic. There’s not much you need to LEARN in Algebra I, but there’s a lot of different concepts that you need to understand. If you have a high aptitude for applying logic into solving problems, then Algebra I may be the thing for you. Different people have different math skills, and who knows? Maybe Algebra I will be yours. Wish you all the luck.
Thanks mate. Will give it a go.
Aleks.com has a math prep site. I’m using it to refresh my math skills and completed a module in a week.
what is your math background? When did you last take a math class? What’s the harm in trying?
Really Algebra is required for econ? I’d have thought at least calc would be needed.
I did algebra 2 in a month, so give it a try! The concepts are pretty basic, and khan academy has a ton of good stuff. Hope this helps!
D did Begining College Algebra on Alex.com in about two weeks
Algebra 1A and 1B took only took 1-2 hours each for me a couple years ago. Good luck!
Are you saying you need a 95% on the exam to pass Algebra I?
