Is it possible to maintain a 4.0 at UCLA as a life science transfer?

I’m really wondering a lot about this because my community college was a joke. Everything was easy.

Obviously UCLA is extremely hard in comparison. But I wanna know if I would have difficulty adjusting as a transfer and not be able to get good grades at this school.

Even if you just factor in the grading scale (+/-) UCLA is alot tougher than CC.

Then add on the workload, professors, competitive students etc. and you will find it almost impossible to keep a 4.0

Even Harvard which is notorious for grade inflation doesnt have a ton of 4.0 graduates. It just isnt really the norm for anywhere.

Harvard grade inflation? haaaaah right…they grade on a curve of your class, so to get an A you have to do better than 90% of your class, which means that you can get 80% and fail the test.

It is possible, if you can take everything out of your life except study and be a bookworm!

LOL, I’m kidding but yeah, it is very hard in general. If you want to find out more about adjusting as a transfer, read this: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/434458-your-first-semester-experience-ucs.html</a>. I love this thread so much :D
