Is it possible to take class outside of the school during winter break and get credit for?

I am currently a student at u of I. I am thinking of taking an online course during the winter break from uiuc and other school. Im not sure if this is possible and even if it possible, does the credit gets transferred??

You need to ask the registrar’s office at UIUC.
