Looking into the future, I think I would need to do a combination of both hardware and software. I am interested in ECE at Purdue, but I got accepted for CS. Anyone know what is the process to change major? Should I reach out to the FYE office after I confirm my enrollment or meet with my academic advisor on campus? ( would that be too late?)
My advice is to reach out now and make sure that it’s even possible for you to make the change. You aren’t just asking for a change of major, you are asking for a change in college (College of Science to College of Engineering). I’m also not sure if they will let you make the change prior to starting or if you will need to take your chances doing a CODO (change of degree objective) after you start (which is space available and not guaranteed). Personally I’d want to know to have the information before committing.
