I’m applying to a few private universities and I’m most curious about Fordham and St. John’s. I hear they’re both good schools but Fordham is obviously better. As I said, I’m applying to schools and I’m honestly not too confident in my chances of admission at Fordham so if St. John’s accepts me, I might go there. I was wondering if it would be possible to transfer though if it turns out that St. John’s isn’t the school for me. Do you have to be religious to go to either school as well? Also, I’m still not sure yet if St. John’s would be worth the travel across the country if I did get accepted (I’m from Los Angeles). Any honest input would be helpful, thank you.
I don’t know about St Johns but Fordham isn’t that religious. They just have some religious requirements in their classes (theology, philosophy) but as long as you’re somewhat open-minded you should be OK. It’s not like other schools that make you sign contracts that you’re going to be a good christian.
