like a 3.3 uw and my sats were around a 2000
that being said, does wellesley focus really heavily on the gpa or do they take other factors into consideration</p>

<p>I think you should definitely try at least (especially because it’s free online!). Make sure you work really hard on your essays because Wellesley weighs those pretty heavily. If you still have time, get an interview (it can only help you). Just try your best to make up for your low SAT scores and GPA in other areas and then just wait and see! My motto is “Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst!”</p>
<p>*ALSO if you have a specific reason to the low GPA like an illness or family problem let them know. Even though you have a low GPA, they take those things into consideration. Also, if you show a positive grade trend that’ll help too.</p>
<p>my parents were in really big financial stress during this time due to the recession and my dad lost his job twice and my mom doesn’t work… so that was a big “stresser” in our family during these past 3 1/2 years. </p>
<p>I’ve taken a decent amount of honors/AP’s (11 total) and at this point I’m just really scared that I’m not going to get in. </p>
<p>I also have good ec’s (not amazing, but decent) </p>
<p>So now we just have to wait and see.</p>
<p>I think if you can explain that either in your common app essay or the additional information section it’ll definitely help. The rigorous course load will help as well. Honestly, Wellesley is just that kind of school that takes everything into account. They can only do that though if you let them know.
