I’ve taken the ACT and plan to take it again.

If my ACT score is ridiculously high, is it safe to not have any SAT Is in your stats? I haven’t seen anyone with ONLY ACT.

Most universities accept ACT scores, so if you get an exceptional score on the ACT, then don’t bother with the SAT.

“Most” is no longer accurate. “Every” college that is listed in any of the USNews annual rankings takes either the SAT or ACT except that some no longer require any test. If you have a high ACT you really do not need an SAT but you may still need SAT II’s depending on college.

I stand corrected :)

I totally would not take the SAT I if you crushed the ACT. SAT IIs, you’ll prob still need to take.

A lot of colleges substitute SAT Subject Tests w/ the ACT writing.

right, but there are some schools (mostly ivies) that require 3 subject tests to demonstrate breadth…so it would be a good idea to prepare for a couple of those, depending on where you’re aiming to go…

Thanks. I’ve got two SAT IIs right now (both 780+), and plan to get a third one soon.

Since Collegeboard sends everything, does it matter if my SAT<ACT scores by a lot?

What is the minimum score someone should have on their ACT to not consider taking the SAT I? (For someone applying to top 20 colleges)

The 75th % seems to be about 34 for the ACT.
