Is it still possible to get into NYU with a lower weighted cumulative GPA?

My cumulative GPA is slightly lower because of what happened my first semester of freshman year. I got very sick, so it brought my grades down. Since then, my weighted GPA each semester has been at least a 3.57 or above. Mostly above.

I have very high standardized test scores, 34 ACT and a 2250 SAT. I am involved in many leadership positions at school in extra curricular activities, and I have a job. I also will have seven or eight AP credits once I graduate.

What are my chances of being accepted into NYU if I keep up with what I’m doing, and continue to challenge myself with AP classes?

what college at NYU? I have heard of people getting accepted to Tisch with lower GPA’s because they were very talented. I think you have a good shot. What’s your cumulative?

My cumulative, weighted is around a 3.87, or at least it is projected to be if I keep on doing what I’m doing now.

I won’t be applying early decision so I’ll have my first semester of senior year transcript to show, which will be full of AP classes, hopefully that will work to my advantage as well.

Probably just CAS or try and get into LSP. If you get accepted into LSP you can apparently transfer to whatever college you want after two years there.

You cannot transfer into all colleges/ all programs after LSP–primarily it is for CAS students. You need to check into that.
