Is it stupid to have a double major in two different fields? or should they compliment each other?

Having two majors that are similar to one another is convenient if there is considerable overlap and multiple classes count for for both majors (I can imagine this being the case for say, International Relations & Political Science, or Anthropology & History, etc) – however, having a double major that are in two separate disciplines altogether isn’t “stupid.” Oftentimes, people will double major in something that piques their interests and something which will provide solid career outcomes. My friend is a Computer Science/Theater double major which I think exemplifies this idea.
