I’m 21. I currently have 42 credits and a 3.79 GPA at CC. I’m taking 14 credits during the winter, and 8 during the summer. I have two years of retail experience and I have been volunteering at a hospital for 3 months.
I started off at CC with 1 or 2 classes a semester because I worked 20-30 hours a week. I quit my job and worked my way up to full time, and my grades have never been higher. My main issue of concern is the “rigor” of my course schedule, as some semesters only had 1 class. However, I’m able to demonstrate academic excellence with a full load. Should I still go ahead and apply?
I think the transfer applicant deadline would apply to you- can someone confirm?
You should definitely apply, but apply ASAP. You should not wait until the Feb 1 deadline for fall for the best chance of admission.

The deadline is Feb 1, however you know what rolling admissions means. Let’s just say they have 500 seats available for transfer students (I don’t know the actual number, I completely made that number up solely for the purpose of illustrating the concept). If you apply early in the cycle, you will be competing against other applicants for 500 open seats. If you wait until later in the cycle, seats are getting filled, and then you will be competing against other applicants for fewer open seats.
While they say expectations don’t change for admissions, if you have a more borderline application, applying early can easily make the difference. The difference is the number of competitors you will have per seat.
