Do I have the possibility of UCLA rescinding my acceptance?

I read somewhere on this forum that someone’s decision was rescinded due to dropping Calc AB. I do not think they will rescind your admission if you decide to take AB instead of BC. However, I’m sure you can always call/email and ask.

Thanks dragon17. I feel really bad right now about my mathematical retardness (no offense on the word ■■■■■■). Anyone else?.

Well…I don’t actually think that you are mathematically retarted since you somehow made it to Calculus AB, hehe. I don’t think UCLA would rescind your offer as long as you let them know.

Thanks Brassman271. =)

Answerrr Pleaseee. =(

If you drop the AP exam, you will not get your acceptance rescinded. If you drop the class, yes you will get your acceptance rescinded.

I myself still am in a quandry about how UCLA has vaguely worded the 3.0 UW GPA requirement. After re-reading the email they sent back to me, I realize I still have no clue whether they mean that I have to reach 3.0 for each semester or 3.0 average of both semesters.

Me: Does the unweighted B average apply to both semesters individually, or as a whole?

UCLA: Your total senior year unweighted GPA as a whole must be at a minimum overall B average and no grade lower than a C.

UCLA: Your total senior year unweighted GPA as a whole must be at a minimum overall B average and no grade lower than a C.

Without spelling it out word for word, it still sounds to me like UCLA’s trying to send you a message. :D

Hey, it’s best to be certain…and I’m not. I don’t get what you’re saying.

Hmm. Hold on.

Neo Yoyo: Does the unweighted B average apply to both semesters individually, or as a whole?

UCLA: Your total senior year unweighted GPA as a whole must be at a minimum overall B average and no grade lower than a C.

That should help. :D

I already knew that…

But I’m still cautiously skeptical since other people have been told the opposite.

i dropped at the semester mark and my admission was not rescinded… however, it is pretty late in the year…
