Is it too late to register for 2010 AP Exams?

I just decided I’d self-study for two (I’m only taking two this year as is) of the AP Exams and was wondering if it was too late to register?

I will talk to my guidance counselors about it, but I don’t want to walk in and get shut down (lol) for asking. Can someone let me know?

Thanks!

I believe that the deadline is different for each school.

Oh, so it the deadline isn’t universal? As in if I wanted to, I could find another place to take it if their deadline has not passed?

laurora- Email them. Your school may have ordered a few extra in the subjects you are interested in. If not, ask the gc if you can take the test at another hs in your district if they have extra tests ordered. Be polite but persistent. Do not tell them you just decided to study for them but that you forgot to register for them. Why not just do them senior year since you are starting late?

Oh, okay. Thanks!

Well, I don’t think they ordered extra because everyone has to pay for their own as of this year due to the budget cuts.

I was thinking about senior year, but I figure it’ll be easier this year and I will at least be able to consider myself, to some degree, an AP scholar.

Well, I just asked a school outside my district to let me do it, and they said yes. I just emailed them, and the GC emailed me back within a day. I still have to register and pay the money, but they said they could accommodate me. For them the deadline is April I think.

Deadline is March 15. (It says on collegeboard)
