“Less is more”

For the Princeton quote essay.

Is it too risky writing a 3 word essay?

Lol. You can give them a call and ask them.

Hahahaha thatll probably **** them off buddy

Not in this case.

Doesn’t tell anything about you except that you’re an extreme risk taker :O

Yes, it is.

Don’t do it.

Reminds me of the student writing “What is courage?” essay and his answer was 3 words long “This is courage.”

I like it but I wouldn’t do it.
how long is the response supposed to be?
it may depend on how the question is worded.

The thing I’ve seen over and over is that colleges are looking for essays that enable them a more personal look at the applicant so they know what kind of person they are considering. a few years ago I heard that 9 out of 10 valedictorians who applied to Princeton were rejected. I’ve also heard it stated (at another school) that “we will receive 22,000 applications for 2,000 spaces and all will be within our required qualifications. what we want to see is what makes you special. what do you bring to the table?”

given that, I wouldn’t take the chance to stop at 3 words-though that may be a great starting point.

Not to be mean but it sounds incredibly cliche and unoriginal even though I know you were going for the exact opposite… DON’T DO IT!

No you shouldn’t do it. They will probably think that you are just lazy

The courage thing is actually awesome, but to OP: don’t do it.

Do you think Princeton would legitimately consider you if you submit a 3-word response.
I don’t see this as any means of being special or unique. It just portrays your immaturity and genuine disregard for the school. If you even think that this is “funny”, I advise to please think again on whether to apply to top-knotch schools.

Agreed that the “courage” essay above, “this is courage” is a winner, and if the writer of “this is courage” was not accepted then the hell with them. I don’t see “less is more” in the same light. You could lead sentence with Less is more, write a solid essay and close with … any more, would be less.

“Less is more” shows absolutely nothing about anything. At least the courage one showed courage.

Dooo ittttttttt

Plagiarism.

This was actually an essay written by someone who got accepted, but since it’s not my own idea ill probably write the essay.

Just checking lol.

3 words? Hmmm… Let me think:

Obama’s my dad!
Here’s $10 million!

These may work. Otherwise, you may as well write:

I am lazy.
I don’t care.
Please reject me.

Way too risky.
