You are strong enough to apply. You have a decent chance.

hi Alexandre, I am also very interested in UMich’s Honours Program, how do I go about it??

As a student with a 1410 on your SAT, provided your GPA is over 3.8, you will automatically be considered. If you are accepted, call the university automatically and tell them you wish to be considered for the honors program. I am not sure how the Honors program works, if at all, in the school of Engineering. GoBlue81 would know more…I believe he was an engineer back in the day! hehe

Isn’t it a $40 app fee or something?

actually its 55$ for intls

There is no honors program in the school of engineering.

^are you sure??

Yes, I am pretty sure. The reason why LSA has an honors program is because the mean SAT is 1300 and mean unweighed GPA is 3.7. Furthermore, LSA is much larger and as such, has much larger classes. As such, in order to provide the best students with the highest level of competition and with smaller classes, LSA has established an honors program.

However, the mean SAT score for Engineering is 1400, and mean GPA is 3.9. The college of Engineeing is 4 times small than LSA and classes are generally much small too. As such, an honors program for Engineering is pointless.

I’m positive. I have a son there.

thanx everyone
