Is it true?

Is it true that if you are accepted to Rice you have to go there?

No.

Only if you apply early decision is this true. If you apply regular or interim, then you don’t have to go.

Early Decision is binding (with a financial loophole). Interim and Regular decision are non-binding.

Well theoretically it’s true, because:
a) only smart people get into Rice and
b) if your smart, you’ll attend Rice, which is vastly superior to any other college anywhere

*If you chose Harvard over Rice, Rice should have realised how stupid you are and rejected you.
