Is it true?

They say it is harder for males to get 800 on the critical reading section of the SAT than it is for females. Is that statement true???

It may be true that fewer males get 800s in critical reading but they take the same test with the same scale, it isn’t “harder”.

Sorry, wrong word choice. By “harder”, I mean “less likely.”

in general, guys are better in math&science, and girls are better in CR.
it has to do with the way our brains work. (its all biological)
of course, if one gender or the other works hard, he/she can be just as good at both sections.
and of course, there are exceptions. (I do horribly on CR but well on Math)

Heh, I feel more comfortable with the reading/writing sections than I do with the math sections. And I’m a math nerd guy!

Perhaps I’m just fond of reading erudite persons’ thoughts and analyzing them : )

These College Board data tables might be of interest.

Thanks for the responses.

Sushifureak, thanks for saying that. I couldn’t post that without getting flamed by feminazis and banned. Also, males, never say anything like that in public.

Woah, women are smarter than men in terms of SAT writing and reading…-_-
