Is it unlikely that I will get over a 2000 on the SAT?

So I got my psat score today…and i was very sad. I felt stupid after seeing it. It’s weird because my gpa is a 4.0 unweighted and about a 4.9ish weighted. I got a 183. I’m a junior. The score is higher than my sophomore score but not much. I haven’t taken the sat or act yet, but now i’m terrified because my psat score was not even close to 200. Are the chances of me scoring at least a 2000 very low?
And what about the ACT, chances of me scoring over 32 low? When i took the plan test as a sophomore my projected ACT score was a 30.

Maybe i’m setting my goals to high, but i feel like i have no chance of getting into any of the colleges i want to now. :(

PSAT/PLAN is usually a good indicator of the score you would get of you took it at the level you are at right now. PSAT/PLAN does not, however, tell you your max score. You can definitely score higher than 1830/32 on your tests. Just have to study :]

Hey I went from a 165 to a 207. So it’s definitely possible.
Interesting thing was that I didn’t prepare the second time either, I think it was the classes that prepared me.
But with that said, a little more effort would probably be the best.
