Is it unprofessional to do college interviews from your phone instead of a computer?

I have to do a college interview soon and due to some reasons I might not have a computer with me on that day. Is it unprofessional to do a video-interview with your phone? Do colleges dislike it?

I teach via Skype and have students that use their phone, and can tell a difference. However, I think it’s acceptable if 1) You have a strong internet connection. Almost every time I have problems with dropped calls, etc., the person is on a phone. 2) You prop the phone up at a good angle and leave it alone. Don’t expect to hold the phone for the entire interview and don’t move around! Test it out before the call to make sure you have a flattering angle. This means you don’t put the phone on a table and lean over. Trust me - that doesn’t look professional!

I don’t see how that will be a problem if the phone is well connected to the internet and the display is okay.

It’s fine. The advice above is good guidance. Also, if you are on a cell phone, call a friend earlier that day to make sure that the reception is good.
