<p>For pre-med, say I am admitted to one of my reach schools… Would I be setting myself up for failure if I decided to attend? I have good study habits and I can handle AP science classes well. I just don’t know if I’d be able to handle pre-med courses at Brown for example :(</p>
<p>Take the best offer(which means the school and any $$ offered) on the table. That’s what I did, and I couldn’t be happier. 
If your reach accepted you, then they think you will succeed. Why wouldn’t you?</p>

<p>If you have been challenged in high school and are good at standardized tests, the risk by going to a reach school may not be very high.</p>
<p>BTW, it is rumored that Brown is a good school for premeds. At least the famous female character in Harry Potter’s movies will never compete with you in any premed classes there 
(She is very smart academically but we can never imagine she would be in an orgo lab.) Seriously though, if a school tends to recruit many talented students who may be inspired to pursue other career track, it may be a good place to be (At least it may be more fun to be there.) You do not want to go to a school that is full of bookworms, or worse, gunners. But it is not easy to find a school like this. (Brown may be close to be that kind of school, but still likely too many premeds there, likely due to its affiliated medical school and its flexible education system…)</p>

<p>I have been challenged in high school but my standardized test scores are just OK. 30 ACT They’re not quite Brown material (that’s one reason why Brown’s a reach for me). I’m just afraid I don’t have the “natural intellect” I guess? but thanks for the reassurance </p>
<p>As a side note, I would be so excited to have Emma Watson in my class!! haha. I love Harry Potter does anyone know what she’s concentrating/majoring in?</p>
<p>Emma has since transferred to NYU to be closer to NYC theater opportunities.</p>
