Is it wise to talk my background and activities but in a creative sort of way ?

So currently I am writing an essay from an observers’ POV on my life. The observers(who is looking to take me in for a job) will somehow stumbled upon my diary and find out a thing or two about my history(Nothing weird/creepy/violence but still interesting nonetheless). The observers will then discuss if I am a qualified candidate etc… The observers will most likely not even humans. The issue I have with this is that it is mostly telling instead of showing my characters. Also a small part of it can be found on my application, but most of it is not on my application.

I’m a little confused by the premise. Aliens? Want to hire you for a job? And somehow that leads them to your diary?

The letter of recommendations are already there to tell the AdComms what observers think of you.

The college essay is your opportunity to tell them what YOU think of you.

Ehh, to be honest not a fan. Do what seems natural and tells your story best. You are more than your activities. What does the reader learn from your essay? I’d wager nothing personal…which is not a good starting concept for a personal essay
