Is it worth appealing? UCLA regents consideration

I got UCLA regents consideration (top 1.5% of UCLA applicant pool), and have pretty good stats (2300+, 4.2+ UC GPA, 5’s on 5+ AP Tests, etc.). However, I applied to EECS, and don’t have any significant CS accomplishments. Is it worth it for me to appeal? I got into UCLA CSE, which is roughly equivalent to EECS in terms of acceptance rates, so I thought that I would be at least waitlisted, and I really do want to go to Berkeley.
In terms of new accomplishments, I’ve only gotten a few substantial ones since November, but they mainly relate to a non CS related EC.

I would appeal if I were you. Good luck!

EECS is a very impacted major and your stats are normal for accepted students to EECS. Unless you have compelling new information, appeal will be worthless.

“your stats are normal for accepted students to EECS”
Isn’t that exactly the point–if my stats are normal for admitted students, then shouldn’t I have been admitted? Or are you implying that to get accepted through an appeal, I need to be better than the admitted students?
