Is it worth applying to Brown and Vanderbilt?

<p>I didn’t know if these colleges were out of reach considering my low math and critical reading scores and run-of-the-mill ECs. Although, essay writing is my strong suit. Should I just stick with local state universities or would it be worth a try applying to Brown and Vanderbilt? Am I being unrealistic in even considering these schools?</p>

<p>Difficult as this is to say, you’re overestimating how hard getting into colleges is. You’re certainly not guaranteed admission to either school, but it’s just as certainly worth it to apply to both of them.</p>
