I currently go to Bentley University on a full scholarship. I have the GPA, test scores, and extracurriculars to potentially transfer to an ivy league tier college. I know not all my credits will be transferrable, and at my current school, I am set to graduate in 3 years. My future plan is to enter straight into grad school for my masters in financial engineering. Financial engineering masters program is only available at highly competitive schools such as Columbia and Princeton. This program stresses math, CS, and finance. Bentley offers a decent math program (it’s really mediocre), an excellent finance program, and a nonexistent CS program. I will apply for a math major with a minor in CS.

I know if I stay at Bentley I will graduate with close to a 4.0 GPA. But, will this allow me to be just as competitive in grad school admissions compared to Ivy League grads? If not, I am considering transferring to a more prestigious college.

Do you think this is a good idea?
