Is it worth sending 3's (or 4's) to colleges?

I’m a junior about to take AP Eng Lang and APUSH next month. And I’m nervous…(Plus I’m taking a college course and have THREE tests for that class alone the weekend between my two AP tests…yikes!)

I’m worried I’ll get a low score on the AP Eng test…I have trouble finishing my essays in less that 45-50 minutes, and you only get 40 a piece to write :(

APUSH, i’m slightly less worried about, simply because my when I asked my teacher he said that the students that actually put some effort into his class told him that the AP test was easier than his unit exams (<– and I believe it, they can be killer).

So If i get say a 3 on AP Eng and a 4 on APUSH, is it worth sending to the colleges I’m applying to? (I plan to major in IR/Arabic/Psych, and not at an Ivy or anywhere like that lol.)

Sorry this was a bit long! lol Thank you!!

I would send anything that is at least a 3 to colleges. The college might be able to do something for you. Most colleges accept grades of 4 or 5 for substantial credit, so you should definitely at least send any 4’s or 5’s you get.

Thanks, but one last question…

You don’t send scores in to colleges until they’ve accepted you, right? They only know you took the class when you apply?

Thanks

You self-report AP scores on your application
