Med schools care about gpa first and foremost. That said, all things being equal, if you think you can get an A in an honors ochem class go for it. I talked with my ochem I prof about the differences (I got an A+ in the regular variant), and it amounted to covering some of the otherwise optional material because the pacing allowed for it (still only talking like 1 extra test question per exam here) and doing research projects (i.e. presenting on the polymerization of epoxides). I’m not as familiar with the humanities classes, but I have a friend in the honors program I could ask if you want to pm me any questions.
