Is July 6th a late orientation date?

I signed up for the July 6th orientation back in April, but I couldn’t sign up for anything in June because there was no option to. Did that mean they were already full? And is that date late?

It’s not late. Orientation goes on through mid Aug. I think I read that only available dates show when you register. So if no June dates show, then they were full.

Many students, particularly international and from OOS, do not go to summer orientation but the final ones around the week before school starts. July 6 should not be too late.

Thanks guys.

Also, are the placement tests online first come first serve? I wanna do them in June, but I don’t wanna be in a disadvantage.

The dates of availability are published and the orientation website only says they must be complete 5 business days before orientation. If you have a July 6th date, remember that July 4 is not a business day.

Classes open up all through orientation…so if classes are full when you leave, go back online in the days immediately following to look for other alternatives…then make changes.

Thanks. I have an unrelated question. My parents are moving to Ann Arbor with me, is there a way for my college cost to reduce to in-state?

No, you will not gain residency if you don’t have it when you first enroll.

Oh wow, okay.
