Is length of Common App essay too short?

<p>DS’s Common App essay is 585 words. Since the maximum is 650 words, is this too short?</p>

<p>Right in the prompt it says “Do not feel obligated to use the full 650 words”</p>

<p>585 is a fine length, mine was even a bit shorter than that I believe.</p>

<p>Mine is 575 words. Sometimes being concise is good.</p>
