Is major binding?

Applying for engineering. Can’t find it on the website, but you fill out 3 interested majors. So are we undeclared first year or straight into the first choice major? And how hard is it to change majors.

Undeclared. You don’t choose a major until sophomore year.

Also, from the Pratt website:

Students are encouraged not to declare a major during their first year. We want students to spend some time learning about the range of engineering options available before deciding on a course of study. Students must declare their major before registering for classes for their junior year.
