Is my appeal letter good enough? What should I edit?

Since my earliest childhood memory I have wanted to be a nurse. I worked hard through high school and graduated when I was sixteen. I was ready to start college and was set to start summer quarter. My grades were at satisfactory and I finished my first quarter just in time to welcome my son in to the world.
Soon after having my son I became withdrawn. I didnt want to interact with people. I stayed in my room with my son unless i had to leave. I felt guilty, lacked concentration,  and felt hopeless. I took time off from school but, pushed myself to go back. I dropped out soon after. This has been my only regret. I took the failure hard. It wasn’t until recently after having my third baby that I realized I had struggled with postpartum depression with my first and last child.
I was recently diagnosed with postpartum depression. I was put on medication to manage my depression and have seeked counseling.
For the first time in a long time, I feel like myself again and I know I can finish my schooling. With the support of my doctor, counselor, and family I know I can complete my education. With out financial aid it would be nearly impossible for me to finish school.
I would be more than grateful to receive a second chance at a future for myself and my family. Thank you for taking the time to review this letter.

I’m commenting and I know this isn’t what you asked…but…

Your letter is OK…but think carefully about school right now. You apparently are a very young mother with three very young children…and no mention of a spouse in the picture to help,or support you.

Do you have a good support network for your young family?

Yes I’m married to my children’s father. We’ve been together for 8 years.

Forget the all my life blah blah blah. Financial aid officers have to read through too many request

Go straight to the chase
What happened that you lost your financial aid
How did you fix it
What are the steps have you taken so that you don’t land in this situation?
You must be specific. Not simply I have the support of my counselor family, etc and I am going to do better. What does that support look like?
How will you effectively balance parenting 3 children, being a wife, and being a student who can maintain a 3.75 goa to be a competitive candidate for the nursing program?

Thank you for your input.

Could you take a class or two at community college before reapplying to nursing school? You show that you are more mature and emotionally ready, but there isn’t evidence that you are you ready from an academic perspective.

This is for my community college. I still have prerequisites to complete.
