<p>so i handed my app for William and Mary on Dec 31 at 9pm.
the deadline was Jan 1.
on the common app screen, it says submitted: Dec 31 9.35 pm</p>
<p>BUT i got an email saying that the whole app was “SUCCESSFUL SUBMITTED” at like JAN 1 12.35 AM!!!</p>
<p>what does this mean? i mean i submitted on time, but the email freaked me out???</p>

<p>The deadline is January 1. You could have submitted it at 11:59 on January 1 and still met the deadline. It doesn’t matter when you submit it or what it says as long as it’s not on January 2nd. January 2 is the cut off; January 2 is the day at which point you will not get into any colleges and you will work minimum-wage.</p>
<p>Probably the payment confirmation? I submitted mine on the 29th but I didn’t receive confirmation emails for all of it complete till midday the next day, it should be fine.</p>
