Is my college list suitable?

I really need help with my college list. But I don’t know if I have enough or too much reach, target, or safety school. So

The colleges I am interested in includes:
University of Pennsylvania
Cornell
NYU
UT McCombs
Carnegie Mellon
Boston College
University of Chicago
Northwestern
Texas A&M
SMU
Washington University at St. Louis
Notre Dame

I am planning on majoring in Business or Economic.
I am a Texas resident, so the 10% rule applies.
My SAT scores will probably be around 2200 (CR: 680 Math: 780 Writing: 740)
SAT Chinese: 800 SAT Math II: 780
ACT: 32 (W: 32 M:35 R: 29 S: 32)
GPA: 3.97

Senior course load: AP Economic, AP Stat, AP Cal BC, AP Spanish Language, AP Lit, AP Gov, AP Environmental Science, AP Chem, and advanced CIA

And I’m Asian

I feel like my college list is quite too long, so how many should I cut out? and which?

NYU: terrible aid, not worth the price tag you’ll get

What kind of environment are you looking for? That might help narrow it down.

You need to increase your ACT score for UPenn,UC,WUSTL and maybe for Cornell as well.

@Lilliana330
I like it to be in the north east or central. But I don’t to eliminate schools like SMU and A&M since I think I should use them as safety. And I’m forced to apply to schools like NYU and WUSTL by my dad… :-S

^ Ouch. If your parents can pay for it, fine. But if they’re unaware of the price/are expecting aid, it might be good to show them the reality of the cost. That way you won’t waste your time and money on the app…

Try this: http://www.nyu.edu/financial.aid/misc/npc/

Are you top 10%? Top 7%?

^ 15/674 according to his post, so yes.

Sorry, missed it! Then All tx publics are safeties for you. Apply to honors colleges, too. Anything you can apply for as soon as it’s up- and “applytexas” is a great tool. This way you’re sure to have choices, and with admissions in hand you can easily apply to any school you like. You can even apply scea/rea to some elite schools if you apply to public universities.
