Is my Dad going to be sleeping in the dorm with me?

Hey guys,

Just finished signing up for the April Open House with an overnight stay. My Dad has insisted that he come with me. Great. Anyway, is he going to get his own accommodation or will he be getting a taste of a broke college student’s sleeping quarters as well?

I realize that this may sound like a dumb question but I am seriously puzzled by this.

:D

I doubt it-- he’ll have to get his own room.

Yeah… When students sign up to host for the open house, I don’t think they signed up to also host a parent…

Tell to check out the Hyatt Place or La Quinta suites nearby

It’s only for students.

You know you’re likely going to be sleeping on the floor right? I doubt your dad would enjoy the experience much.

Parents usually stay in a hotel nearby. Often there are events for them to attend.

Find out if you need to bring a sleeping bag. My daughter took hers to her overnights. Since you are coming from abroad they might have one you could borrow.

Yeah, your dad is gonna need to get a hotel room. Aside from the fact that sleeping in a dorm is probably not an experience he would enjoy, I doubt there are many students that really want to host a parent too.

Do you have to bring a sleeping bag? We don’t really want to schlep one from CA…

We did for all my daughter’s visits. Most students won’t have one available in their rooms. A thin sleeping bag stuffs pretty well into a gym bag.
