Is my EFC number high?

<p>I finished fafsa and it says my EFC number is 18072. The thing is my mom had a job all of 2011. However she was unemployed all of 2010 so we qualified as pell grant that year. I was selected as a finalist but because my mom had a job in 2011 I am worried with that EFC number. Ironically now my mom doesn’t have a job again for 2012 and I can’t reapply for this scholarship.</p>

<p>if you’re going to college next year, you can’t reapply. It’s only for those who have never been to college.</p>

<p>Also, at this point if your EFC is 18,000 you won’t qualify for the pell grant. It’s for last year, so I don’t know what else to tell you. There isn’t anything you can do.</p>
