Hi everyone,

I am the daughter of parents from different countries (I was born here, though), so I’m not familiar with any of this, and I was wondering what you thought about my financial aid award from Simmons College in Boston.

From my letter, I have established for THIS coming school year, I have around $8,000 to pay in loans, plus the $13,000 to pay for room and board, which is required for the first year. The rest of the tuition is covered by a grant ($16,000) and the Dean’s Scholarship ($15,000/year), plus a few other minor things.

The undergraduate non-nursing total is around $47,500, which is quite expensive.

Is this good? Or does the room and board + loans total a bit too much? I’m worried about paying it all off.

Thank you!
