Is my name gonna screw me over like in orange county?

Ok so the smallest school im applying to is stevens inst. of tech. which has a little less than 2000 students. I called the admissions office to see if they had received all of my forms, and the woman asked where i lived because they have a few people applying with my exact name. Am I gonna be the victim of a stupid mistake like colin hanks in orange county. Stevens is a small school that’s mostly guys (im a girl) what about northeastern, mcgill… am i going to get mistaken for someone else?.. there are over a hundred of me on facebook…

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Especially with common names, colleges tend to be very careful about matching applicants’ materials using SSNs and addresses in addition to names. If they say they’re missing something or something seems really off with your application, then go ahead and call them just to double check. Otherwise, just relax and try not to worry about it.

Hopefully, you have your SSN on each page. My oldest son had a case of mistaken identity with a SUNY school. Never did find out if it was straightened out.

A college called to confirm information with me in the fall. I’m applying EA, and apparently an applicant from California has the same exact name as me (and same middle initial!). My first and last name aren’t terribly common either. Maybe send an e-mail as a heads-up? I wouldn’t worry too much.

Orange County was hilarious too …

blame your mother :)

i already bothered my mom about that lol
