Is my school considered competitive?

<p>So the PSAT scores came in and apparently 11% of the state’s Commended students attend my school. Is my school considered competitive?</p>

<p>Here’s the thing: my GPA isn’t all that beautiful. I haven’t tried my hardest this year and that’s probably the reason why. I could probably have gotten all A’s save 1 or 2 classes if I weren’t a chronic procrastinator who slept 2 hrs a day.</p>

<p>Freshman year: 4.0
Sophomore year: 4.0 1st semester. 1 B 2nd semester
Junior year: 4 B’s 1st semester…</p>

<p>See the problem?</p>

<p>Oh, and for the most part I’m taking the most competitive courses available to me.</p>

<p>If I do something AMAZING this summer will it boost my chances of getting into, say, Berkeley or UCLA? </p>

<p>and try to bring up your grades this semester…you still have like a month…</p>
