D (CAS) got a notice today that she had come off the waitlist for one course and has till 11 AM tomorrow to accept or decline. Since it was actually her second choice, and she is #1 on the waitlist for her first choice, she emailed her advisor about whether she should accept or not. He responded minutes later, saying he would sign her up for the class that just became available to hold her spot, but he thought there was a very good chance she’d ultimately get her first choice and he’d just make the change if/when that happened. So far I’m pleased with how all this is going, especially that the advisor seems johnny-on-the-spot. My only discontent is with the early date freshman need to be on campus–it means D will have to leave her camp counselor job a week early and probably sacrifice some all-important parent tips.
