Is North Park University a good school

I am an international student from Pakistan and I have been accepted into North Park university with scholarship of $14000.My intended major is mathematics.I want to know that is this a good school?

I have also been accepted to depaul university with $16000 scholarship, but it still is not affordable for me.I know that depaul is a better school but it is way too expensive for me and North park will be a lot affordable.

So what will you recommend?I just want a good college experience. As far as rankings goes,I haven’t seen North park in any ranking like US News or forbes. So does it make a bad school?

I will be new to US educational system that is why I am really concerned about it.Any help will be appreciated. Also if someone can North Park University can provide an insight of the college,it would be very helpful for me.Thanks.

Are you a Christian, preferably evangelical? Because North Park is an evangelical college, meaning you’re expected to sign a “statement of faith” and behavior.
Where else have you been admitted that’s affordable?
What’s your budget? Some colleges are still accepting applications (some are excellent, such as Hendrix).

It’s an okay school, but Evangelical colleges tend to be stricter than average. I applied to an Evangelical school, and it requires students to attend mass every Sunday. You can miss ONE Sunday a semester.

It’s also a bit expensive. Where else have you applied?

Thank you for the reply.I am a Muslim.I have seen that it is an evangelical college but is it true that we have to engage in religious activities?

An evangelical college is NOT for Muslim students. I won’t go into details but I would definitely recommend you attend another college, especially Fall 2016.
(Evangelicals are very very very much into a strict interpretation of Biblical Scripture. I am sure you have equivalents wrt Q’uran in Pakistan. How would they feel about another religion student enrolling in one of their schools? This is the same. There are really several types of evangelicals but for the purpose of this thread and this college, I’m not going to develop. It’s very different if you apply to DePaul or Loyola Chicago, which are Catholic universities but are not in the same “frame of mind” as North Park.)
Where else have you applied?
How did you end up applying to North Park?
Some universities are still accepting applications - would you be willing to consider them?
Hendrix, for instance, is an excellent university that still accepts applications.

Religious activities as in church?
I’m not sure about North Park, but I know of many Evangelical schools that require students to attend chapel.

I have applied to Depaul university and elmhurst college.I am waiting for the decision from elmhurst college.

DePaul is a better school than Elmhurst or North Park.
I think DePaul would be more accepting of Muslims than North Park. DePaul is very diverse, ethnically.
DePaul is expensive, though I’m not sure if money is an issue.

DePaul and Elmhurst would be fine.
Do you have family in Chicago ?

Yes I have family in Chicago.I will be living with them.I know that Depaul is a better school but it is very expensive for me.What do you think about dominican university?

It’s okay. What about university of Illinois in Chicago ? What are your stats (test scores, rank or grades relatives to others ?)
