has anyone been to this program. it is National Student Leadership Conference.

But to answer your question, it is not a scam. It is a program for enrichment. I don’t know if the program wastes time & money because I have not participated in it, so it is best to look through old threads and read what other people have said.

I went to it I really enjoyed myself. It’s not a scam at all. These leadership conferences can not be called “scams”. The people that say this dont’ go for themselves. You have to go to make yourself better, not to put on some resume. I had a lot of fun and I’d recommend doing it if you have the opportunity. AIM me if you have any specific questions @ willmingtonwave.

ok as far as i’m concerned, it is a money making scam. It will not help you in any way as far as college goes. Do not do it. Everyone gets invited.

It’s not selective.
It won’t help you get into college.
You probably won’t become a better leader.

But I still had loads of fun doing it. Think of it as “summer camp.”

I 100% agree with you. If you are going to go to this, please don’t be someone who want to do it for college, it won’t look especially impressive. Do it to better yourself and meet a lof of cool people. I think it would be pretty sad to go through life not doing something because it won’t help you get into college. Also, I was a particuarly shy person and it helped me become more extroverted.
