Can anyone still qualify for NYS initial certification if s/he completed a teaching program in a core subject without the student teaching component? If no, is it possible for that individual to complete the student teaching experience after his/her Master’s degree has been conferred?
That kind of thing should be right in the NYS Ed. Dept. website. Start at higered.nysed.gov If you don’t find an answer at the website easily, contact them directly.
